Residence 9 windows installation in Winchmore Hill, north London

Our most recent installation of the Residence 9 (R9) window product was in the Winchmore hill area of north London.

Our customer had recently purchased the property and was in the process of renovating the house from top to bottom. One of the largest projects was to replace the old timber windows with a thermally efficient and maintenance free replica product.

We are pleased to say we were recommended to the customer by her builders. After a brief chat an appointment was made to visit our showroom and go through what products would be best suitable for the character and style of the property.

As mentioned in previous blogs, at Enfield Windows we offer a wide range of affordable quality products to suit all property periods. From traditional timber conservation approved uPVC, aluminium and standard or flush Liniar uPVC products, you certainly aren’t limited on choice.

It was decided that the product best suited to the property and the budget for the windows was the Residence 9 product. The choice was to keep to the original design of the windows with leaded glass and traditional handles and hardware.

Conservation approved and thermally efficient, this window is truly a stunning example of the how far the uPVC window has evolved. Incredible details that only the R9 products offer includes hand built fabrication using no welding machines or joints, factory bonded double or triple glazed units, a nine chambered thermally efficient outer frame with flush casement finish.

To the front of the property was a three part bay window and three further flat windows. To the rear and side an additional five windows also to the rear in the newly built extension was a set of French doors and side flags all manufactured using the R9 profile.

The front door which was from the Solidor range of timber cored maintenance free doors in the ever popular Chartwell green. We also replaced the original shutters using a replica Upvc factory finished Chartwell green to match the front door.

All internal finishes were in timber hard and softwood, and as the pictures show the front of the house is totally transformed to where it was pictures of the rear will follow.
