Grey Origin bifold door

Origin Bifold doors, windows and Masterdor installation north London

Another recent installation by Enfield windows was in the North London area. We were recommended to the customer by the prestigious high-end building company, A&R Designs.

The brief for A&R Designs was to create a contemporary modern extension using high quality products throughout. Enfield Windows were first invited to the property to examine the initial requirements and to understand exactly what the client wanted to achieve.

At the rear of the property, the client wanted a large four-part set of Origin Aluminium bifold doors, opening up into the garden. They also wanted three Origin windows running down the side access, which were all part of the new extension.

In the hallway, to keep in tune with the original theme, the client opted to use the Residence 9 Window, a stunning timber replica totally maintenance free while not compromising on the features you would expect from a traditional looking window.

The internal front door was to be replaced using the Masterdor, an engineered factory finished timber door. This product is fast becoming the new alternative to uPVC composite doors.

The measurements were taken, and a fully detailed quotation was sent within 48 hrs.

The client accepted our competitive quote. They then visited the showroom to view all the products and get a firm feel for the quality each item offered.

While at the showroom the client had decided to install the Origin blinds. These are electronically operated blinds and are a great addition to any Origin product. Controlled using a compact remote, they can function independently or in tandem. They not only offer shade and privacy but add a real wow factor to any windows or doors and come in over 200 fabric ranges ensuring a match for any scheme.

Installation

After completing the contract and finalising the details, a survey was carried out. Within three weeks, the majority of the products were installed as and when  the building contractor required them.

The whole installation ran smoothly and efficiently. All items were installed by our Origin trained fitters, and the completed pictures show how the products add to the overall quality of finish to the stunning new extension.

White timber sash windows

Sash window installation north London

A recent sash window installation took part in a leafy road in the north London area.

The client contacted us via our website after searching for replacement windows online. The entire property was under renovation, and new windows were required.

After their initial contact, our sales representative arranged a convenient time to visit the property to go through the clients requirements and which windows were in need of replacement.

At Enfield Windows, our customer approach is one of complete non-pressure. Our aim is to offer high-end products at affordable prices.

Due to age and characteristics of the address the client had decided on timber sash windows. Our sales adviser went through our range of windows available, and the customer made a decision on what style they preferred. Within forty-eight hours we emailed them a full detailed quotation on all the products discussed.

Many of our competitors choose to quote on the day, commonly by working from a price matrix. We choose to tailor the quotation and offer the client an accurate price via email. This way the client can contact us once they have compared the quote and they are happy and wish to proceed. At no point do we try to hard-sell any of our products. Our expertise within the industry, high-level installers, and quality products speak for themselves.

A short time later, the client contacted us again to arrange to showroom visit so they could physically see the products and get a feel for the operation of our beautiful timber sash windows.

The price was agreed, and a contract was sent, specifying all the details we had discussed. Within days the order was fully surveyed and put into production.

For timber sash windows our lead time is approximately six to eight weeks. All our timber products are bespoke made and factory finished using microporous paints, ensuring each window has a flawless and protected finish.

Installation

Midway through the manufacturing process, the installation was booked in with the client and scheduled to last three days. To ensure customer satisfaction, none of our full-time installers work on a schedule of rates scheme. We believe each installation is unique, and this gives the fitters the time they need to carry out a first class installation.

As the images clearly show this installation was a great success and the client was exceptionally pleased with the new sash windows. Since completion, Enfield Windows have taken two more orders from customers on the same road, which will follow shortly.

Internal view of conservatory

Conservatory installation in Ware, Hertfordshire

Our most recent Conservatory installation took place in Ware, Hertfordshire.

We were recommended to our client by the high end Hertfordshire based building company Oliver James Construction who specialise in creating modern contemporary living spaces.

The client visited our showroom where the salesman went through specifics for the conservatory including colours, glazing, bi-fold doors and the options for internally glazed blinds.

Once the plans were finalized our sales team in liaison with Atlas, the manufacturers, put together detailed CAD drawings of the proposed space, which gave the client an insight of what would be the finished conservatory.

The colour chosen was RAL 7015 “Slate grey” for the exterior roof lantern and fascias. Internally the skylight lantern was to be white, and glazed using 24mm self-cleaning solar controlled active neutral glass.

The doors were a four part bi-folding system made by Origin who supply high quality windows & doors. They offer optional colour-coded or stainless steel handles hinges, colour-coded anti finger pinch gaskets and the accredited SBD Secured by design police approved locks. These are all covered with a twenty year peace of mind manufacturers guarantee.

Glazed in the bi-folds were 28mm argon filled electrically operated blinds which were hard wired to the mains and operated by remote control. This stunning addition gave the perfect wow factor to the project whilst also closing off the south facing garden at the press of a button.

Installation

Enfield windows part in the project was carried out over four separate days. The first two were spent on the installation of the conservatory followed by the bi-fold doors and then finally installing and wiring the electric blinds.

The client was overwhelmed with this stunning addition to their property. The pictures show how these new living spaces are fast becoming the modern day conservatory design.

Timber sash window bay

Timber sash window installation in Walthamstow, north London

A recent installation took place in the Walthamstow area of north London. The client had recently moved property and was looking to replace the old uPvc windows that had taken away the character and charm of the Victorian property.

Contact was made via our website and a site visit from the sales team was arranged. We carried out an approximate measurement of the windows the client was looking to replace which for now was the front aspect of the property. This consisted of two upstairs main bedroom windows and the lounge front three-part bay window.

At Enfield Windows we choose not to visit potential clients home with the view to selling on the day. We would rather offer advice on all of our products and go through the installation service we provide. We also offer, literature leaving the client with no pressure when deciding on what can be a major purchase for any home depending on what is to be replaced.

After explaining the process that our expertly made timber windows go through from production to being installed we then leave and offer the client a full proposal which is often sent via email. We also invite potential customers to visit the showroom to view the range of timber uPvc and Aluminium products we have on display.

The initial sales call lasts no longer than necessary and in this case the quotation was sent over within forty-eight hours, leaving the client to understand what we were proposing from start to finish.

Two weeks later the client visited the showroom and instantly fell in love with the smooth running of the timber sash windows and most importantly the flawless finish of our factory finished timber products.

Once the order was agreed a contract was arranged and a 25% deposit was taken and within days a full detailed site survey was carried out and the windows were put into production.

With a six to eight week lead time the installation was scheduled and booked in with the client by our  installations team.

 Installation

The installation was scheduled for two days. Our installers carefully and meticulously carried out the replacement of the windows using factory finished window boards and architraves internally, and taped off the walls and frames to create new cement fillets to the exterior walls where required.

Our client was at work during the majority of the installation which we hope was due to the friendly reassuring service initially provided from the outset.

The pictures show a before and after picture. The new windows bring back the full character of the property, not only aesthetically but also adding to the value, lacking with the old uPvc windows. Whilst the installation was carried out we had numerous enquiries from passers-by who could appreciate the massive transformation and quality of the product and workmanship.

Timber sash window interior view

Timber windows and French doors in Finsbury Park, north London

Our most  recent timber window installation took place in the leafy Finsbury park area in north London.

Our customer contacted Enfield windows after a builder’s recommendation who maintains the property. The client currently rents out the flats so he wasn’t able to be present during the sale or installation process. All correspondence was carried out via telephone and email.

We were handed the keys and invited to visit the property and carry out a full site survey of the windows and doors that needed replacing. There was a variety of windows and doors that required replacement including timber sash and casement windows and french door sets and single doors.

After a proposal was sent and the project cost was agreed, CAD drawings were provided to the client as there were specific arch details and Astragal glazing bar layouts included in some of the frames.

By providing the CAD drawings the client was able to see in detail how the products would look before the order was sent to production.

During the six to eight week manufacturing process the installation was scheduled into our diary.

The installation was carried out over a four day period and as the pictures show it is another stunning installation using the very best timber windows within the market.

Timber window installation london

Timber window installation in north London

Enfield Windows would like to give you an insight into one of our most recent timber window installations in north London. The installation took place in the Winchmore hill area.

The first point of contact with the client was by a telephone call to our offices where we were invited to visit the customer’s home to provide a quotation for new windows and doors. The sales adviser was booked to visit the property and go through the specific requirements, the whole house in need of new windows and doors.

The client had opted for using a quality uPvc product for the upstairs windows and a replicated timber product for all of the downstairs.

The timber products required had to be very specific. Within the area, most homes have a detailed stepped head in the window sashes that the client was very keen to replicate. This is a detail that can only be reproduced in timber windows and doors.

The sales advisor took the necessary measurements and detailed layouts whilst also explaining the benefits of our superior timber windows and doors. The advisor suggested that customer should visit the showroom to view our timber and uPvc products whilst we would prepare a written proposal detailing the specific requirements that had been discussed during the visit.

The approach we choose is not to offer a quote on the spot unlike many other companies that would often read off a structured price lists. They generally have one goal when being invited to your home, which is the hard sell with the aim to sign you up on the day.

Our ethos is to offer a tailored service and advice on what would be better suited to the property as each home and client have different ideas and expectations about what they want to achieve.

After the quotation was given and a visit was made to our showroom the client accepted our proposal and the ball was set rolling to provide CAD drawings and a detailed contract followed by a full site survey.

The survey was carried out by our experienced surveyor who took his time to go through the property ensuring all the necessary accurate measurements and configurations were taken ready for the order to be placed for manufacturing.

The installation was booked in along with the client choosing architraves, handles and furniture that they felt would be best suited to their home and taste.

Installation

The windows were installed by our very own employed installation team who are highly skilled and very meticulous within their work. All the internal trims window boards and architraves used were factory finished leaving the customer with no re-decoration work.

The final outcome is a stunning installation using the very best products and materials whilst still at a competitive price, the installation has led to recent enquiries and orders within the area.

Why did the client choose Enfield windows?

The feedback from the client was that the time and effort Nick had put into the proposal whilst not applying any pressure or sales tactics was key in giving the customer confidence that we were not just out for the sale. We were told that Adam and Greg, the installers, were a pleasure to have in their home and the attention to detail along with the product far surpassed their expectations.

Local residents were so impressed with our installation, we have already received an order from a neighbour.

Timber bifold door installation in Ealing

Bifold door installation in Ealing, London

One of our recent timber bi-folding door projects was in the Ealing area of London.

The client had found pictures of our timber door range whilst searching Google images. After looking at our website, the clients requested a timber bi-folding door made using timber hardwood.

What makes Enfield Windows doors different from market alternatives is the timber we use. It is supplied in either Baltic Pine, Oak or the more popular hardwood. Everything is engineered cross grained, which helps the door resist against warping, twisting or swelling. This is unlike many other timber doors, which are often crafted using a single piece of timber.

Along with the fully engineered doors and frame is the unique two week factory finished spraying process. This takes place in airtight, chemical state of the art spray booths giving a perfectly even finish every time.

The glazing consists of 24mm toughened Argon filled double glazed units which also offer a low U-value of 1.2.

After the quotation was given and accepted we then carried out a detailed site survey where the aperture finished floor levels and opening configurations were checked and confirmed.

The next stage was to process the order and issue the client with a detailed CAD drawing (as above) to show every detail. This is a design specification we carry out for all of our timber products once an order is confirmed.

The lead time for our timber windows and doors is approximately six to eight weeks from survey. The installation was booked in with the customer two weeks prior to delivery. It was carried out in one day by our very own skilled timber team who carry out all of our timber installations in and around the north and central London areas.

As the pictures above show, these are stunning timber bifold doors, beautifully built and finished.

Our next Timber Installation will be in the Knebworth area in the coming week where we will be installing matching timber bi-folds and French doors.

Our customer had recently purchased the property and was in the process of renovating the house from top to bottom. One of the largest projects was to replace the old timber windows with a thermally efficient and maintenance free replica product.

We are pleased to say we were recommended to the customer by her builders. After a brief chat an appointment was made to visit our showroom and go through what products would be best suitable for the character and style of the property.

It was decided that the product best suited to the property and the budget for the windows was the Residence 9 product. The choice was to keep to the original design of the windows with leaded glass and traditional handles and hardware.

Incredible details that only the R9 products offer includes hand built fabrication using no welding machines or joints, factory bonded double or triple glazed units, a nine chambered thermally efficient outer frame with flush casement finish.

To the front of the property was a three part bay window and three further flat windows. To the rear and side an additional five windows also to the rear in the newly built extension was a set of French doors and side flags all manufactured using the R9 profile.

The front door which was from the Solidor range of timber cored maintenance free doors in the ever popular Chartwell green. We also replaced the original shutters using a replica Upvc factory finished Chartwell green to match the front door.

All internal finishes were in timber hard and softwood, and as the pictures show the front of the house is totally transformed to where it was pictures of the rear will follow.
