Period features without the maintenance
In Brief
The Residence 9 ( R9 ) window system is relatively new to the market place, specifically designed to replicate the 19th century Flush Sash Timber Window. This stunning product is taking the stereotypical uPVC windows of today to another level. Such is the build quality and appearance of these hand made windows they are considered for use in conservation areas which is something a uPVC window has never been able to achieve. With its full range of Heritage colours, modern and rustic hardware, optional butt hinges and astragal glazing options these windows and French doors appeal to any home owner wishing to keep the character of their property but want a top end, maintenance free uPVC luxury brand.
Details matter
Each frame from the R9 product range is 100mm in depth, 30mm deeper than the typical uPVC frame. This feature has many benefits – not only in the thermal values, as it offers either 28mm glazing unit as standard but it’s also able to offer 44mm triple glazed unit that offers a U-Value of 0.8W/MK2 due to the nine chambered frame. The typical uPVC windows have between three and seven chambers. With the frame being 30mm thicker the glazing details lend themselves more to the original timber construction of flush casement windows with deep astragal glazing bars and detailed outer frames. All of which adds up to what makes the R9 product superior in the industry.
Colours – Authentic or modern you decide
Residence 9’s pallet has a range of thirteen colours from English or Irish Oak, Clotted cream, or for a more modern colour try the Eclectic grey. You can be sure to find a match that will best suit your home, if you require a dark exterior frame but want to keep the inside light or vice versa there is a dual colour option giving you the best of both.
