Nothing better illustrates what we do than a beautifully refurbished house with brand new timber windows, standing out from all the others in the street.
Our latest project was in West Ealing, W13, where we completed the full replacement of twenty-one sash timber windows, three French door sets, three single doors and the main front entrance door on this stunning Town House.
The client is a high-end developer who carries out major refurbishment of properties in and around central London and always requires the very best products at competitive prices.
Site meeting options
An order of this value requires careful costing, so our Commercial Manager went through every item to get an accurate price for the work to be carried out.
After the detailed quotation was forwarded we held a site meeting with our client to discuss the schedule of works and to agree the opening configurations of the doors, the glazing details and the various hardware options we offer with our timber window range.
A few weeks after the site meeting Enfield windows were contacted and asked to proceed with the contract, which was raised and sent over via email to the client for a final check over and signature.
Timber production begins
After receipt of the 25% deposit, we sent our in-house surveyor to carefully measure every window and door recess to ensure a perfect fit.
Order process and lead time for timber windows and doors is between eight and ten weeks, as top quality timber has to go through several manufacturing stages.
Quite often on large projects and during the manufacturing stage, our Installations Manager will make a further visit with the surveyor to go through all schedules of work to ensure that the project runs smoothly when everything is ready for installation.
Installation goes ahead
When the delivery date was confirmed the project was booked in for a nine-day installation, during which our skilled team carried out the job with minimum disruption to the other trades on site.
Our client, who had used Enfield windows on previous projects, was thrilled with the installation and the quality of the product. As the pictures confirm, this once rather tired looking townhouse has been given a new lease of life and now stands out from surrounding houses.
In fact, the new look is so impressive that we have received numerous enquiries from the owners of neighbouring properties, so we are confident this won’t be our last visit to West Ealing!
