Enfield Windows has just completed a stunning refurbishment of this lovely house in Cricklewood, London NW2. Not only replacing all the windows and doors but including replica stained glass traditional units.
As for all our clients, the procedure followed the same pattern and timetable, starting with a site visit by the project manager and appointed contractor, followed by the raising and signing of a contract, then a survey carried out by our own highly experienced in-house surveyor.
Ordering Process
We have a specific team dedicate to the ordering and processing of all our timber windows and doors which often requires computer aided designs (or CADS) showing details such as arches and bespoke decorations.
When all the items are signed into production the glass dimensions are passed on to our stained-glass supplier, ready for fabrication. Our stained-glass manufacturer is one of the very best in the industry. Their attention to detail and skill is second to none in matching and recreating stained glass units.
Delivery and Installation
The next stage is to book the project into our diary, taking account of the lead time for all the materials to be ready for installation, which can be up to nine weeks. We keep a close eye on progress at this stage, to ensure that the fitting takes place within two days of the materials’ arrival.
All our timber windows and doors come meticulously packed and sealed to ensure they arrive as they left the factory, with the protective packaging only removed on site just before installation.
On this project our own team of highly skilled installers carried out the work over five days, completing the task to their usual high standard.
Finish and Quality
The overall finish and quality, as show in these pictures, was superb. Our engineered thermal efficient timber windows have breathed new life into the property and attracted further interest from neighbours, some of whom have asked Enfield Windows to carry out full replacement windows and doors on their houses!
