Outstanding timber casement windows and front door installation in Enfield, North London
Enfield Windows are always delighted to get a repeat order from a previous customer – especially when the job is a complete makeover on a stunning house like this one.
Our client, in Enfield, North London, wanted a full installation of new windows and doors with re-decorating both inside and out.
And a major part of the brief was to re-create the main entrance and front door to a specific art-deco design, using original stained glass and matching sidelights in timber frames.
As with all our installations the process begins with a site visit to discuss specification and products, the quantity needed and the opening configurations of the windows and doors. This is followed by a detailed quotation for the work required.
Wide choice of colours
Particular attention was paid to the front door and lobby area, as the focal point of the house. We can offer any colour of choice, and our client opted for a lovely soft look with Farrow and Ball’s “Mizzle No.26.”
The next stage was to draw up computer-aided designs, or CADS, for the front door, along with a hand drawn mock-up of the glazing for our client to approve. Once that was agreed the client visited our glass manufacturers to go through the colours, spacing and design.
Sustainably sourced timber
The timber windows we supply and install are of the highest quality, offering the look of original windows with the advantage of thermally efficient glazing and multipoint locks. The frame itself is made up of sustainably sourced engineered timber to ensure longevity with no risk of warping or twisting.
The installation was carried out in phases, with the window installation completed in four days. Fitting the new front door was held back until the end of the project to ensure there was no damage from other trades.
The pictures show a truly stunning installation and finish by all the specialists involved in the project. The front door is a real triumph, flooding light into the entrance hall and creating a genuine “wow factor” for anyone coming to the door.
