Brompton Square, in Knightsbridge, Kensington and Chelsea, West London, boasts some of the finest 19th-century townhouses in the Capital, and Enfield Windows were proud and delighted to work there on a stunning whole-house installation of timber windows and doors.

The house was being totally refurbished by Torola Property Ltd, who are specialists in the renovation of superior older buildings, and they needed to be certain that the new windows would match the high standards befitting such a magnificent house.

Our project involvement was to replace windows and doors from the newly created loft space all the way down to the lower floor, consisting of 12 replica sash windows, two French doors and another French door with sidelights. Affordable high-quality

The range is on a par with the leading UK national timber brand, but at a more competitive price. Doors and windows come with standard 24mm glazing, although we can offer 16mm, 12mm and even single sheet glazing, which is common for conservation projects. The glazing is supplied by Press-Glass, Europe’s leading glass manufacturer.

Our state of the art manufacturing process

To make the frames, we use what’s known as CNC machinery, which cuts, shapes and forms the timber under computer-controlled instructions. Every item is then sprayed with several coats of Remmers micro-porous paint, before being glazed, sealed and protectively wrapped for shipment. The whole process from survey to installation normally takes around 8 to 10 weeks,

Our in-house team at Enfield Windows provide all the details on glazing layout, glass thickness and any decorative panels, such as those in the pictures here. We can tailor the software for the CNC machine to suit just about any design, and we particularly specialise in replacing sash windows.
